Student suspended for passing gas on bus

March 20: Though he denies he did it, one Florida student has been banned from the school bus after allegedly passing gas. WFLA's Natalie Shepherd reports.  (NBC News Channel)An eighth-grader was suspended from riding the school bus for three days after being accused of passing gas.

ANTI-DISCRIMINATION BILLS
:

1. Connecticut (HB6452): An Act Concerning Discrimination Which will add gender identity or expression to the existing non-discrimination statues.
2. Maryland (HB474/SB566)
3. Massachusetts (HB1722, also adds gender identity and expression to hate crime statutes)
4. New Hampshire (HB415)
5. North Dakota (SB2278) which adds sexual orientation but not gender identity/presentation to the state's anti-discrimination laws.
6. Pennsylvania (HB300) that adds sexual orientation AND gender identity and expression to the state’s anti-discrimination statute
7. Texas has introduced a bill (HB538) adding "sexual orientation or gender identity and expression" to the state's employment anti-discrimination statutes.
8. Washington State(SB 5952) would broaden the definition of sexual orientation in the hate crimes laws to include gender identity and expression, as already defined elsewhere in state law

MARRIAGE/CIVIL UNIONS/DP BILLS


1. Connecticut SB899
2. Hawaii (HB444) (HD1), which would grant full marital benefits and recognition of kinship under the law to same-sex couples.
3. Illinois(HB0178) which would grant some marital benefits, but not next-of-kin recognition under the law, to same-sex couples.
4. Maine is introducing a (SP034/LD1020), marriage equality bill
5. Maryland (HB351) and(SB290), that would grant full marriage equality and next-of-kin recognition under the law to same-sex couples.
6. New Hampshire (HB436) to upgrade civil unions to full civil marriage equality.(HB415), which adds gender identity and expression to the state’s anti-discrimination laws
7. Vermont (S. 115) to upgrade civil unions to full marriage equality for same-sex couples
8. Washington State (SB5688) Domestic Partner expansion bill which would grant full marital benefits and next-of-kin recognition under the law to same-sex couples.
9. Connecticut (SB 899): An Act Implementing the Guarantee of Equal Protections Under the Constitution of the State for Same-Sex Couples Which will codify the Connecticut Supreme Court decision on marriage equality.

The attorneys general of Arizona, Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and West Virginia have also launched investigations. New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram said all 19 state attorneys signed a letter to Liddy demanding names and documents concerning the bonuses.
